If you are a Bangor downtown fan, and/or if you are a walker, they are for you.

And again. They don’t charge Mainers for their service.

It’s not.

Welcome to Bangor By Foot. They will offer walking tours of Bangor for free. If you are not a Maine resident it will cost $10. But for the rest of us, it’s free.

Bangor by Foot is a member of the Maine Tourism Association.

They will begin tours on Memorial Day, May 29th and end on Columbus Day or Indigenous Peoples Day in Bangor October 9th.

The casual walking tour is called ‘History, Ghosts& Gangsters Tour’

They will happen on Mondays and on Fridays at 10 am, 1 pm and 4 pm and you are asked to signup with your name and how many people with you, and let them know that you are or are not a Maine resident. Sign up at bangor by foot dot com or email bangorbyfoot@gmailcom Reservations are required.

Each walking tour through historic downtown Bangor will have tales about the former rich lumber barons and the lumberjacks who worked for them. Also information about art, history, architecture and culture.

And what’s a tour of Bangor without some ghost stories.
