Bangor Assault Suspect Now Faces Felony Charge in Videotaped Beating
A man charged with assaulting a homeless man on the Bangor waterfront now faces a felony charge for a separate incident at a city park.
Liam Geagan, 18, now faces an aggravated assault charge stemming from that recent incident at Second Street Park, Bangor police confirmed on Friday.
Both attacks were caught on video and posted to Facebook.
Geagan, as well as 19-year-old Benjamin Gillibrand of Bangor face assault charges after a video posted to Facebook reportedly shows the men assaulting a homeless man who was fixing his bicycle on Front and Railroad Street Wednesday.
A juvenile also has been charged with assault in connection with the case.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, and more charges are likely.
