A few weeks ago I was freaking out because the baby's room was far from ready. But thanks to my in-laws painting and my husband helping me put up curtain rods and installing blinds, the room is on its way to completion.

When we moved in back in 2013 this little room was designated as my husband's home office/radio station/recording studio. From day one he thought, "somehow I'm going to lose this room." He had a gut feeling he wasn't going to be able to keep it as his work space. And he was right.

The room was pretty beat up/used; mismatched paint, holes in the wall, dusty, cluttered, smelled like dog from the previous tenants - just a mess. But slowly over the last few weeks we chipped away at the daunting task of fixing up the room, and now it's almost complete.

We still need to install a light fixture - and oh yeah - furniture! But the progress thus far feels great. Whew! Now if only we could agree on a name...
