I’ve been on the radio in northern Maine for over 30 years—all told—starting in the days when we still spun records on turntables and dinosaurs still roamed the earth. Music is in my blood and I was naturally drawn to radio in college, where I was studying Speech-Communications. Every day I’m up before the dawn to gather the news, sports and weather and find the most concise way to deliver it to folks dashing off to work or school. When I’m not at the radio station, I might be playing guitar and singing with my band, digging in the garden or hanging with my family watching Dr. Who. It always seems a little strange when people tell me, “I’ve listened to you all my life.” But it also means a lot to me to be a part of this community where I was born and “partly raised.” I love living, working and playing right here in my little town.
