In May 2020, he was a honorary inductee into the National Technical Honor Society by Hancock County Technical Center. He is the 2013 Electronic Media Award winner from the Maine Interscholastic Athletic Administrator's Association in recognition for outstanding electronic media contributions to Maine Interscholastic Athletics. Peregrine Falcons’ Expected Return Closes Some Trails at Acadia National Park
In anticipation of the peregrine falcons returning to their traditional nesting territories at the Precipice, Jordan and Valley Cove cliffs in Acadia National Park the National Park Service has closed the cliffs and associated trails to the public effective March 1st so as to protect the peregrine falcons from disturbance or harassment during the nesting stage.
Acadia National Park Investigates Recent String of Vandalism Incidents
The graffiti, primarily consisting of red blazes spray painted on trees, rocks, and cairns, creates confusion for visitors, who should follow the blue blazes maintained by the NPS to mark established hiking trails. In addition to the red paint damaging park resources, it encourages visitors who might not be familiar with these trails to embark on potentially dangerous routes.
