The “your place” and “baby blues” singer just released new music, teasing what’s to come with her upcoming album in August.

On Friday, May 8th, Ashley Cooke released her new song “high school sweetheart,” which is being described as a breezy and confident track that calls out petty gossip and the people who use it to cover up their own insecurities.
The song will appear on Cooke’s upcoming self-titled sophomore album, set to be released on August 14, and follows the success of her 2023 debut album, shot in the dark, which featured her Gold-certified No. 1 country hit “your place.”

Cooke has quickly become one of country music’s most exciting young voices, earning major attention and award nominations from the ACM Awards.
