And Get Off My Lawn [VIDEO]
We think about gift registries as something people set up for getting married or having a baby. But some are thinking why does it have to be limited to that? There's now a movement to create gift registries for birthdays, holidays, graduations, etc. The possibilities are endless. Housewarmings. Breakups. On and On.
I also notice a trend on Facebook that people, when it's their birthday to request to donate money to a cause. Now don't get me wrong. I love charity. I actually am quite happy to kick in $10, $20 or $50 to whatever the cause often, but something about this trend strikes me wrong. Like, can't I just wish you a Happy Birthday? Are you going to judge me because I didn't contribute to the charity of your choice? Or I am off base, and on a 'Get Off My Lawn' podium?
