Listen, Mainers are passionate about their mustard, and what's not to love? While some folks may reach for ketchup or mayo, mustard is often the go-to for many. Whether it's on burgers, hotdogs, or anything else, it's usually the first—and the heaviest—pour. Or should we say, squeeze?

Now, this is subjective, right? How does one even determine or decide if one mustard is better than another—or worse, the worst?

For their report on ‘The Worst Brand of Mustard,’ Mashed conducted a poll with nearly 600 people in the U.S. to find out which mustard brand they liked the least. Mashed gave six popular choices: Heinz, French's, Gulden's, Annie's, Grey Poupon, and Sir Kensington's. The results showed that all these brands had a mix of people who liked them and people who didn't.

So, with that in mind, what is America’s least favorite mustard brand sold in Maine?

According to Mashed’s report, ‘The Worst Brand of Mustard,’ Heinz takes the top spot—or should we say, the bottom spot. Mashed had this to say about the condiment giant's mustard:

Made from just vinegar, mustard seed, turmeric, water, salt, and spices, this classic mustard might just lack a bit of the pizzazz of other brands. It makes us wonder if the massive condiment company should stick to making its uber-popular ketchup, and leave mustard to the other condiment-makers.
