Maine Residents Moving Into a New House Discover Bullet Holes

Maine residents made a frightening discovery as they began moving into their newly built house.

No one was home, so there were no injuries. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.

It should have been an exciting day. The residents, whose names have not been released, had just closed on the sale of the home in the town of Alna on Tuesday, January 6, and they were moving in on the same day.

Alna, Maine, House Shot Up Before Owners Could Move In

As they began moving their belongings into their brand new home on Head Tide Hill Road, however, they found six bullet holes in the side of the house, facing the driveway.

Some of the bullets had gone through the windows and into the interior of the house.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office was alerted, and Deputies were able to find some bullet fragments at the scene. Officials say they appear to be from a small-caliber firearm.

Authorities now hope to hear from anyone who may know something about who pulled the trigger.
