Watch TV for any length of time and sooner or later you're bound to see an infomercial about weight loss supplement pills. The obesity epidemic here in the U.S. has given rise to weight loss companies looking to cash in on desperate people looking for a shortcut to shed pounds. As a result, many of the products that are pitched over the airwaves and in magazines have not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
