A Maine Company Carved Stunning Ice Sculptures for Luke Combs
A Maine company was tapped to add some "cool" backstage decor for Luke Combs' Bangor shows last weekend.
SubZero Ice Carvings in Lisbon had a wild weekend when both Luke Combs and Aerosmith came to town. The carvings were on display backstage for each of the shows last weekend. Friday night featured a four-foot, Maine shaped ice luge that read, "Maine [heart's] Luke Combs.
The ice art made a cameo in Mitchell Tenpenny's recently released weekend recap video.
In the video you see M10 take a shot from the luge before hitting the stage for a sold-out crowd.
For night two, SubZero created a guitar, with an outline of Maine where the soundhole would be, and "Luke Combs" below the bridge.
Sunday night, Aerosmith kicked of their long-awaited tour which celebrates their 50th anniversary as a band. Perched atop the shape of Maine with "50 Years" etched into the center, is an incredibly detailed Aerosmith logo. A Brewer bakery was also part of the backstage festivities. Anná LaPierre made an impressive cake to help the Bad Boys from Boston kick of their tour.
On Thursday, Luke Combs announced his tour plans for next summer. The massive world tour includes a stadium stop in Foxborough, Massachusetts. The show at Gillette Stadium is set for July 22, 2023. The show will have an incredible line-up of performers. On the bill is Riley "Duckman" Green, Lainey Wilson, Flatland Cavalry, and Brent Cobb.
Tickets go on-sale to the general public September 16.
