A Busy February Underway

I know it’s Q106.5 Egg Ride Week, and that’s kind of our focus.

We get in up to our elbows in raising as much money for Pine Tree Camp as we possibly can. So thank you for your patience and for your donations.

Obviously, this year is different then years gone by, because we were told over a month ago that due to Coronavirus protocol, we wouldn’t be able to hold the Q106.5 Egg Ride. Certainly the problem isn’t out in the woods on a snowmobile. The issue is that the ride starts with  breakfast inside the Hungry Hollows Snowmobile Club in Levant. And it’s buffet style. So far there’s a couple of issues.  It’s a snowmobile club, not a fancy ball room you’d find in a big city hotel.  The Live Auction is also held there.  Then part way thru the ride we stop at the Penobscot Snowmobile Club in Hermon.  Same deal. We would have difficulty making sure that everyone there was socially distanced.   Quite frankly it is just not worth the risk.  So no ride, but fundraising is underway.  Help if you will Text CAMP to 707070.  Or click to donate onliine.

Yesterday was Groundhog’s Day.  That is behind us for those that get their Weather forecasts from Groundhogs.

Super Bowl game is coming up on Sunday. Not the same without the Patriots, but we do sort of have skin in the game with Tom Brady leading Tampa Bay. Go Bucs.

National Pizza Day is on Tuesday the 9^th.  That calls for a slice.

Thursday the 11th of February is National Guitar Day. Play.

Chinese New Year is Friday the 12^th.  The fortune cookie message has to be ultra-positive this year, for sure.

Remember Valentine’s Day is Sunday the 14^th.  Warning – Do not forget. Come up with something lame, but come up with something.

President’s Day is Monday the 15^th. Banks, Government and Schools are off. I don’t think we are.

Then it’s Mardi Gras on the 16^th.  That must be different in this time of Coronavirus.

Ash Wednesday is the day after, the 17^th. The beginning of Lent. Are you giving up Wine or Margaritas?

National Drink Wine Day is on the 18^th.  Not my cup of tea, but Kelsea Ballerini will participate on my behalf.

If wine isn’t your thing, National Margarita Day is the 22^nd. Same deal, not my cup of tea, but Luke Bryan will substitute for me.

February might be the shortest month of the year, but there’s lots going on. Enjoy.
