5 Nights Of ‘Fright At The Fort’ Kicks Off This Weekend

"Fright At The Fort" kicks off this weekend. This year's theme will bring back nightmare material from the past 20 years of Fright at Fort Knox.

The annual Fright At The Fort at Fort Knox in Prospect returns with a look back at past scares. The 20th anniversary of the Halloween attraction will feature rooms and passageways spooked-up as past Fright themes. Yup, they're bringing back the clowns, zombies, chain saws, aliens, nuclear radiated monsters, and more.

Fright At The Fort 2019 Dates:

• Oct. 12 - 5:30 - 8:45 p.m.
• Oct. 18, 19 - 5:30 - 8:45 p.m.
• Oct. 25, 26 - 5:30 - 8:45 p.m.

Additional Info:

• Fright tours are approximately 15-20 minutes long.
• Arrive no later than 8:30 p.m. to ensure admittance.
• Express Tickets purchased online prior to the event allow guests to skip the lines for the "Express Lane." Express ticket sales end at 5 p.m. each night.
• Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult (18 and older).
• There's uneven surfaces, low ceilings and numerous sets of stairs along the tour.
• Don't touch the spooks, actors or sets.
• No firearms, weapons, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, glass bottles, pets, matches/lighters, laser pointers are allowed in the fort.

Fright At The Fort is Fort Knox's biggest fundraiser. All of the money raised from Fright goes to preserving the historic site. Much of the effort in transforming the fort into a house of horrors is shouldered by the Fort Knox staff and volunteers from surrounding schools, businesses and towns.

Roughly 10,000 visitors visit the spooky attraction annually. Last year's Stephen King theme brought in a record setting 15,050 visitors over the five Fright nights.
