
18-Year-Old From Portland Identified as Hiram Shooting Victim
Maine State Police have identified a shooting victim in Hiram as a teen from Portland.
The body of 18-year-old Ian Morris was found by police at approximately 1 AM on Nov. 20, according to Maine Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Shannon Moss. The body was found after the Oxford County Sheriff's Department dispatch center received a 911 call from 6 Oak Woods Road in Hiram. The caller requested medical assistance for a man who had been shot. However, when police arrived on the scene, they found that the man has died on the outdoor property near a residence.

Detectives identified witnesses and persons of interest in the incident and conducted interviews. So far, no arrests have been made and police have not commented on a motive for the murder. However, officials say they are confident there is no ongoing risk to public safety.
