Motorcycle season has arrived in Maine, and so motorcyclists, drivers, and even people who mow the lawn are reminded to think safety to make it a successful year.

My husband rides a motorcycle, so safety is important to me. And, honestly, it should be important to everyone, even those who don't have a loved one who climbs onto a bike and risks their lives on a daily basis. Being safe around motorcycles is just a matter of common sense, in my opinion. Pay attention and be aware of your surroundings. But to lay it out, a little more concisely, here are 10 tips to keep in mind this year. Some are for motorcyclists, some for drivers, and there's even one for people who cut the grass. Maine has already seen some motorcycle fatalities, this year. Let's make the rest of the season safe for everyone.
