It's been an intense winter with high snowfall amounts and ridiculously cold temperatures. But that fact didn't hit home quite as fully until I saw this drone video of a frozen Niagara Falls. That's a lot of rapidly moving water to freeze!

Upstate New York has had it tough this year, with snowfalls that were burying streets, cars, and even houses. Apparently, there have been some pretty cold temps to go along with all that snow, as evidenced in this video. A drone flying over the falls catches incredible images of the falls, frozen into cascades of ice.

If you look closely, you can see some sections where flowing water is visible. CNN reports the water is still flowing beneath that ice, but experts say it could be May before it completely thaws out.

But city officials in Niagara, New York aren't complaining! Folks are turning out in droves to see the frozen falls and boosting the tourist trade for the city to unusually high levels for mid-winter. I have to admit, I'd love to see it. Except, it's too cold to stand out there and look!
