Traffic on 295 in Falmouth came to a standstill Thursday night after a semi hauling lumber got into a wreck and landed on its side.

State Police say traffic was slowing down when a tractor-trailer driven by 53-year-old Paul Bean of Levant rear-ended a car driven by 22-year-old Elizabeth Morgan of New Gloucester.

Police say the wreck, which backed traffic up for miles, occurred in the southbound lanes near exit 11.

No one was hurt in the accident.

Police say no charges are expected to be filed.
