A woman was taken to the hospital after she was found injured outside a burning home in Rockland overnight.

Flames were shooting out of the windows of the house at 29 James Street when crews arrived at around 9:00 Tuesday night. The electrical wire had disconnected from the house and was sparking on the ground nearby. And a woman was found outside, hurt but able to walk. She was taken to Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport by ambulance. Her name and current condition has not been released.

Investigators from the State Fire Marshal's Office will be on the scene today to try and determine what sparked the blaze that crews called 'suspicious.' Crews from Thomaston, Rockport, Camden, South Thomaston, and Northeast ambulance assisted those from Rockland.  The BDN reports the house belongs to Herbert and Elizabeth Cole.
