Woman Critically Injured In Auburn Fire

An Auburn woman who was smoking while on oxygen was critically injured in a fire this morning.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the fire was reported at around 8:00 this morning at a Turner Street apartment. 57-year-old Catherine Swidzinski was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where she's listed in critical condition.

The State Fire Marshal's office says there was minor fire damage to the apartment.
