Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Bangor, Eastern Maine

The National Weather Service on Sunday issued a winter weather advisory for the Bangor area and much of eastern Maine.

The forecast calls for snow after 3 a.m. Monday, with accumulations of between 1 and 3 inches. The forecast also calls for periods of sleet during the overnight.

The advisory is in effect from 1 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday. The warning area (shown in blue in the map above) also includes much of Hancock and Washington counties and extends as far north as southern Aroostook County.
