Winter Beach Ball Brings Summer Fun in March

Folks will don flip flops and Bermuda shorts this weekend for the annual Winter Beach Ball in Bangor.

Just when we've all had enough of winter and need a little summer fun, the event brings beachwear and tropical drinks to the Cross Insurance Center. Shorts and flip flops are optional, but a lot of folks enjoy getting into the spirit of the occasion by digging out their warm weather duds. (worn under their winter coats, of course!)

It's the 10th Annual Winter Beach Ball, and seems to get better and better with each passing year. This Friday, March 4th, the Bob Charest Band will provide the music, for dancing in your sandals from 7 to 11 p.m. There will be a cash bar, light refreshments, and lots of fun activities to keep the excitement going all evening long.

Tickets are available online. Admission is $35, or you can purchase a table-for-10 for $350.00. All the proceeds will benefit the new EMMC Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, supporting local patients and their families.

So grab your tank top and your sunglasses out of the closet and head to the Cross Insurance Center on Friday for the Winter Beach Ball!
