Actor Bob Hoskins, best known for his role in the film 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' died this week. His death comes nearly two years after he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease.

There are several of Hoskins' roles that I've always loved, including playing Cher's love interest in 'Mermaids' and as Smee in 'Hook' with Robin Williams. Hoskins could play everything from a tough-guy-gangster type to a funny, silly comedic role.

But my favorite of all had to be when he played Detective Eddie Valiant in 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit.' The way he interacted with the animated characters made you forget that he wasn't actually talking to a real live person! And his comedic timing was always perfect.

Bob Hoskins is survived by his wife Linda Banwell and four children. He was 71 years old.
