When you have a child who is sick and needs medical treatments you're worried about enough.

Imagine now that the treatment facility is a long distance away from your home.

That's where the Ronald McDonald House comes in and the Bangor nonprofit is looking for your help in a fun way to raise money to support the operation for the 14-bedroom home away from home.

Ronald McDonald House Manager of Advancement, Deandra Briggs, says there's only one expectation of families who want to use the Ronald McDonald House.

"Really the only requirement is that the child is receiving some type of medical treatment, either in-patient or out-patient, and that they come from a distance and they need a place to stay," explains Briggs.

Bowl-a-Thons are taking place this Sunday in Bangor and next Sunday in Presques Isle and you can start your own 5-member team, or join the "house" team.
