People forget the majority of gifts they receive. So if you're anxious about what you're going to get someone, with Christmas just a week away, it's o.k. to forget the pressure and the stress that accompanies it, and not sweat it so much. Half of gifts that people got last year have been completely forgotten.

Same survey says to get a memorable gift, think clothing or apparel, dinner out at a local restaurant, a spa day, or a trip or getaway. Gifts to stay away from include wrinkle cream, a scale, exercise equipment, cleaning supplies and underwear.  Seriously?  I'd love to meet the person that puts those gifts under the tree for their beloved.

For the record, I got a winter coat last year.  Or was that the year before?
