Waterville Police say the man whose body was found last week lying along railroad tracks lived near where he died.

Centralmaine.com reports the man has been identified as Anthony Kershner, 46, of Center Street in Waterville. His body was discovered by a passerby just before 11:00 Thursday morning, beside the railroad tracks off North Street. Kersher lived less than a half-mile from the bridge abutment where he was found.

His body was sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office, where Kershner's cause of death is still unknown. Local and State Police have been investigating the death, as well, and say that they do not suspect foul play at all.

We'll update this story as more details become available.
