We're betting that you've never seen anything like this before.

The funeral for murdered Yarmouth Police Officer Sean Gannon was held yesterday in South Yarmouth, Massachusetts, and thousands of law enforcement officers lined the streets outside of the church where the service was held.

Officer Gannon was the Yarmouth Police Department's K-9 officer and police departments near and far sent their patrolmen and their K-9 partners to show respect by lining the side of the street for the final two miles or so on the way to the cemetery.

It was quite a site to behold.  Very impressive, and very sad at the same time.

Officer Gannon and his K-9 partner Nero were shot last week while attempting to serve a warrant on a man who had been convicted 125 times before for various crimes.  Nero was shot in the face, but survived.

Yesterday following the funeral, Nero was escorted from the veterinary hospital to his former partner's cruiser for the trip home, giving residents of New England some comfort, if just a little.

RIP Sgt. Gannon, and a heartfelt thank you for your service.
