A meth lab discovered yesterday in Washington County brings the year's total up to 54, which is an all-time record for the state of Maine.

Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland says the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency is reporting another methamphetamine manufacturing operation, this time in the town of Wesley. Washington County Sheriff's Deputies were attempting to serve a warrant yesterday, when they discovered the meth lab inside a mobile home along Route 9, near the intersection of Route 192. MDEA's meth lab response team searched the home Wednesday night and confirmed that it was another meth lab. So far, no one has been charged.

Assisting drug agents at the home were the Maine Forest Service, Maine Department of Environmental Protection, and Washington County Deputies. McCausland says this is the 54th time drug agents have responded to a meth incident in 2015, an all-time record.
