Washburn Man Dies In ATV Crash

A 68-year-old Washburn man is dead after his ATV struck a tree on Saturday.

WAGM-TV reports Sterling Levesque lost control of his CF Moto UTV and went off the New Dunntown Road in Wade. The ATV hit a tree and then came to rest in the brush at around 10 a.m. Levesque, who officials say was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the wreckage and died at the scene.

The Aroostook County Sheriff's Department was aided by the Maine Warden Service, State Police, State Medical Examiner's Office, and Crown Ambulance Service.
