Crews have been busy all morning battling a fire at a warehouse in Lincoln.

The fire on Fleming Street was originally reported at 11:53 Monday night as a propane leak and fire. According to a post on the Lincoln Fire Department's Facebook page, the first crews on the scene were greeted with 40 foot flames from the rear of the building that contains Wilson's Rental and WeConnect. In addition, there was a large and very active propane leak at the neighboring Big Apple store, creating a very dangerous situation.

Crews were called in from East Millinocket, Medway, Mattawamkeag, Lee, Burlington, Lowell, Passadumkeag, and Howland to help battle the blaze. Additional manpower responded from Greenbush, LaGrange, and Milford. The combined effort was able to contain the majority of the fire to the outside of the building with minimal damage to the interior.

The Maine State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
