A man described by police as armed and dangerous was taken into custody early Monday morning in Bangor.

Police on Sunday issued an advisory after 42-year-old Jason Trickett allegedly stole a vehicle and loaded gun from a home in Machiasport.

Police said they believed Trickett was heading for Bangor, specifically the First Street area, in search of drugs.

An observant citizen reported seeing Trickett early Monday morning in the missing vehicle in the McDonald's drive-thru on Broadway in Bangor, according to a release from the Bangor Police Department.

Bangor police were able to take him into custody around 5:30 a.m. without incident. Trickett was arrested on an active warrant related to the Machiasport case.

The vehicle's other occupant, Joshua White, 34, was arrested and charged with Operating After Suspension.

The Maine State Police are investigating the case from Machiasport and will determine any criminal charges to be filed against Trickett.

In Septermber, Trickett was found not guilty on charges he stabbed a Bangor man to death last year in a fight on First Street.
