It was an honor attending the Bangor-Brewer Veterans' Day Parade this morning. The pride of our veteran's was evident as hundreds marched together, only separated by the wars in which they served so valiantly. It's a brother and sister-hood so tightly knit together. They've experienced something that many of us are fortunate to never have witnessed in real life, the atrocities of war.

As I shouted my thanks many times from the sidelines to our brave men and women, it was the end of the parade that grabbed my heart. A tri-motorcycle being ridden by a veteran had two flags secured to the aft of the machine, one of which was a POW-MIA Flag. It forced me to stop and remember that there were thousands that never made it home to their families, and if they did, it was in a box.

Thank you Veterans of these United States of America, and thank you our military men and women who are currently serving our country. We are forever grateful. God Bless.
