The 15th annual Veteran's Day Road March is being conducted in coordination with the Summit Project, the American Legion, the V.F.W and Togus V. A.

On Tuesday November 11th at 6 AM soldiers, Veterans, and supporters will embark on a nearly 6 mile road march beginning at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial located at Capital Park in Augusta.

Designated soldiers and Veterans will carry Summit Project stones, each representing a Maine Fallen Hero in the global war on terror. The road march will proceed north on State Street, south onto Route 9, and east on Route 17 to Togus, V.A.

Upon arrival at Togus, marchers will participate in a wreath laying ceremony and a dedication of the Summit Project mobile display case built by Maine Veterans.

All Veterans and supporters are invited to march in this event. Participants are encouraged to march any portion of the route, ride along, or to join everyone at the memorial service at 8 AM. Marchers may wear all authorized Military Uniforms or civilian clothing. Lead and trail vehicles will provide opportunity for respite. Refreshments will be provided during the march.
