Time Warner Cable announced Wednesday that as many as 320,000 customers may have had their email passwords stolen.

The company said the passwords may have been collected through malware downloaded during phishing attacks. They said it’s also possible the passwords were stolen through data breaches at other companies that store Time Warner Cable customer information.

The Augusta Police Department is urging customers to reset passwords, especially for email accounts that end in “@rr.com.”

The department says customers will be contacted with information about resetting their passwords.
