A 75-year-old man was taken to the hospital after his ultralight plane went down and crashed into some trees in Benton Tuesday morning.

The aircraft, operated by Bill Fuller of Clinton, went down and crashed off Neck Road around 11 a.m., state police said Tuesday.

Fuller walked away from the crash with just some bumps and bruises.

He was taken to Inland Hospital in Waterville for treatment.

Police did not say what caused the ultralight to crash.
