More details have been released about the relationship between two men involved in a fatal shooting over the weekend in Sebago.

Police say the victim, 66-year-old Charlie Cross of Sebago, was a former brother-in-law of his alleged assailant, 67-year-old David Pinkham of Bridgton. Pinkham is charged with murder and is being held without bail after his first court appearance on Monday.

According to police, Cross's girlfriend told them the two men chatted about apartments and cars when Pinkham stopped by to visit. When they were finished, Cross walked the other man outside to say goodbye. She told police that once they were outside, she heard gunshots, and looked out to see Cross lying in a snowbank.

One of Pinkham's neighbors told police that the man had recently bought a gun. He had a .38-caliber revolver with him when he was arrested.
