Two Men Face Armed Robbery and Assault Charges

Two men face charges after they allegedly burst into another man's home demanding drugs.

The home invasion happened yesterday afternoon on the Common Road in Union.

The Knox County Sheriff's Department says 40 year old Paul Milardo of Thomaston and 24 year old David Williams Jr. of Middletown, CT are charged with Armed Robbery, Class A - Aggravated Assault - Class B, Theft of Drugs - Class B, and Theft - Class D

According to a press release from the Sheriff's Department, the victim told deputies someone had forced his way into his apartment yesterday with a gun, struck him in the head, forced him into his bathroom, locked the door and demanded money and drugs.

A short time later, the suspect vehicle was located, heading south on Rt. 1 and was stopped safely in Wiscassett where the two men were taken into custody.

No further information has been released at this time so it's not clear if the victim knew his alleged attackers.
