Two people were killed in separate crashes over the long holiday weekend.

On Saturday, 28-year-old Bradley Morrison was killed while riding his motorcycle in Lubec. WABI-TV reports Morrison was traveling on Route 189 and passing cars when he collided with a car as it was making a left-hand turn onto Maple Tree Road. The driver of the car had minor injuries.

The second fatal crash was on Monday afternoon when two vehicles collided on Route 35 in Lyman. Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says 29-year-old Alexander McInnis of Hollis was traveling south when his vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and struck a vehicle driven by 46-year-old Rachel Thurston of Lovell. McInnis died at the scene. Thurston was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in this accident.
