A man and a woman from Frenchville were hurt when their vehicle left the northbound lanes of I-95, rolled over and came to rest upside down.

The driver of the vehicle, Daniel Ouellette, 49, told police he fell asleep at the wheel and lost control of the vehicle near mile marker 276 in Island Falls, Maine State Police said in a news release on Friday.

Police said the vehicle came to rest approximately seventy feet off the roadway.

Both Daniel Ouellette and his passenger, Sheila Ouellette, 46, suffered minor injuries in the crash.

State police were assisted at the scene by local ambulance and fire crews.
