Two Face Drug Charges After Pittston Traffic Stop

Two Waldoboro residents are facing crack cocaine charges after the car they were in was stopped along Route 126 in Pittston, police said.

Nichole Pranes, 39, and Destinee Smith, 19, were both charged with unlawful possession of a schedule W drug, said Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland.

Troopers seized about four grams of crack, prescription pills and various drug paraphernalia, McCausland said.

The two were taken to the Kennebec County Jail.

The vehicle was pulled over last Thursday after state police received a tip from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.
