The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office has identified the victims of two crashes on separate stretches of Route 302 Tuesday, one of which was a double fatal.

WMTW-TV reports the first accident happened at around 4:00 Tuesday afternoon near the intersection with Cold Springs Road in Casco, near Point Sebago. 54-year-old Jamie Mantz of Glenburn and her mother, 80-year-old Carol Storm, were killed when the SUV Mantz was driving crossed the center line and struck a pickup truck driven by 26-year-old Austin Wood of Naples. One of the vehicles was hauling a trailer that was carrying a jet ski. Wood was taken to the hospital in critical condition with leg and head injuries.

The second crash happened Tuesday evening in the area of Lakehurst Drive in Windham and involved three vehicles. One of the drivers, 40-year-old Rachel Lorraine of Raymond, left the scene but was later located by police. She was taken to Maine Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The other drivers, 39-year-old Wayne Chevalier of Raymond and 38-year-old Matthew Wakefield of Hollis Center, were not hurt. Details are few, but police say the two men were traveling west on Route 302 and Lorraine was traveling east. Police believe alcohol was a factor in the accident.
