A local woman and man face felony charges after police say they robbed the same Big Apple convenience store twice in little more than a month.

Jessica Morang, 37 of Pittston and Abraham Matt, 30 of Augusta each face a robbery charge in connection with the case.

Police say that on June 21 at 5 a.m. the Augusta Police Department responded to the Big Apple on Stone Street in reference to a report of a robbery. It was reported that a white female entered the store demanding money. The female was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled the store on foot.

Then, on July 25 at 11:40 p.m., the Augusta Police Department responded to the Big Apple on Stone Street in reference to a report of a robbery. It was reported that a white male entered the store demanding money. The male was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled the store on foot.

On July 29, police arrested Matt and charged him with committing the robbery on July 25 with his bail being set at $5,000.

On Aug. 2, Police arrested Morang and charged her with committing the robbery on June 21. Matt was also charged with being being Morang’s accomplice on June 21. Morang’s bail has been set at $2,500.
