A truck driver from Connecticut was arrested in Maine for driving his semi while drunk.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says State Police received multiple complaints from I-95 motorists of a semi that was weaving in the stretch between Clinton and Augusta. Driver Damon Frechette, age 39, finally stopped the truck in Augusta after failing to pull over at the weigh station in Sidney.

Frechette was charged with operating under the influence and taken to the Kennebec County Jail. Police say his truck was loaded with 48,000 pounds of mulch.

There will be a lot of traffic on the roads over the holiday weekend. Be alert, drive safe, watch out for motorcycles, and never drink and drive.
