Tractor Trailer Driver Injured In Rollover

A tractor trailer driver was seriously hurt when he was thrown from his rig as it rolled over.

State Police received a report of a tractor trailer accident  on I-95 in Oakfield just before 3:00 Thursday afternoon. Troopers found that the rig had left the right side of the road and flipped over onto its passenger side.

The driver, Hermon Long of Florida, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle through the passenger side window. Police say he suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
