Patriots quarterback Tom Brady threw the ceremonial first pitch during opening day at Fenway Park on Monday, and he nearly took out Red Sox play-by-play man Don Orsillo in the process.

David Ortiz made a nice play behind the plate, reaching to his right to catch the one-hopper before it could get to Orsillo.

But as displayed in the video above, Orsillo's cat-like speed and reflexes probably would have saved him from being beaned by Brady, anyway.

Red Sox pitcher Rick Porcello had a much better day on the mound than Brady, allowing just 4 hits and 3 earned runs in the Red Sox 9-4 win over the Nationals.
