Police say the driver of a log truck in New Limerick was hurt Monday when one of the vehicle's tires blew out, causing the truck to strike a guardrail and then crash into a ditch.

The wreck occurred on Rt. 2 near Emery Road, Maine State Police said in a news release.

The driver of the truck, Thomas Feezell, 53, of Lincoln, suffered minor injuries.

The Maine Department of Environmental Protection responded to the scene because oil from the truck leaked into the ditch.

The truck sustained significant damage and was towed from the scene. It was not hauling any logs at the time of the crash.
