Tim McGraw's hometown show became a family affair on Saturday night. Wife Faith Hill joined the "Shotgun Rider" singer on stage, as did his cousin, his daughter Gracie and several country newcomers.

Eighteen-year-old Gracie's appearance was unexpected for two reasons: They'd never shared a stage of this size before, but the two also performed a new song from the 48-year-old's upcoming album. The song was called "Here Tonight," and McGraw implied it'd be included as a duet on the new project.

Hill joined the headliner for one song. The two recreated their 1997 hit "It's Your Love," receiving a standing ovation from those who were sitting down for the ballad. A quick kiss and she was off, leaving the stage open others to join her husband.

That list included Chase Bryant for "Felt Good on My Lips," Billy Currington for "I Like It, I Love It," Catherine Dunn for "Diamond Rings and Old Bar Stools" (McGraw and Dunn are cousins) and Chris Janson.

With "Buy Me a Boat" now a Top 10 song, and dozens of media and industry members in attendance, Janson and McGraw's duet felt like a country veteran giving a newcomer his stamp of approval. Janson relished the moment. It was no doubt another highlight in a year full of unlikely highlights for him. They ended their song with a big hug before giving a fan a brand new boat and a truck to pull it. It was a bonus giveaway, as McGraw also gave a military veteran named Tracy a new home as part of his Operation Homefront partnership with Chase.

Prior to his concert, McGraw and the writers of "Shotgun Rider" celebrated the song's success. Earlier this year it became his 36th No. 1 hit, and after the customary words of gratitude, he performed a two-song set for VIPs and media. There he admitted to having some nerves to be playing in Nashville again, especially since he was battling a sore throat. The near-sold-out crowd didn't notice.
