Tim McGraw Calls Fan-Slapping Incident ‘Unfortunate’

In an interview with ET Canada, Tim McGraw called a recent incident involving a female fan at an Atlanta concert “unfortunate.”

“It was an unfortunate situation all the way around. But it happened, it happened in a split second, it was pure instinctive reaction. I think you just got to move on,” the country superstar said of the July 13 incident, in which a female fan appeared to reach up and rip McGraw’s jeans during his performance of “Truck Yeah.”

In newly released video, McGraw appears to slap the woman’s hand away from his pants and then swat the woman on the head. The new video also shows a fan repeatedly slapping McGraw’s behind before the incident.

“Nobody feels good about it but nothing can be done about it,” he said in the interview.
