It's Throwback Thursday! I don't know about you, but I seriously needed something to make me laugh this morning. So, of course, I immediately thought of a movie where a group of Jamaican athletes decide to leave paradise for the Winter Olympics. Fools!

I love this movie. As a matter of fact, I think it's my favorite of John Candy's roles. If you've never seen it, the 1993 movie tells the true story (with some embellishments, I'm sure) of the very first Jamaican bobsled team. Everyone laughed at them at first, but they showed character and determination and won over the world, even if they didn't win a medal.

In this scene, the character played by Leon is trying to convince his childhood friend, played by Doug E. Doug, that it's just like what they call a push-cart. He neglects to mention that it's actually a bobsled hurtling down ice! After this winter, and all the snow and ice we've seen, I think Doug E. Doug's character has the right reaction!
