Three men received prison sentences this week for the drug-related killing of an Augusta man.

Aubrey Armstrong and Damik Davis, of New York, as well as Augusta man Michael McQuade were all charged in connection with the death of 31-year-old Joseph Marceau in 2015. WVII-TV reports court testimony suggested that the men intended to rob Marceau, but the confrontation escalated into a beating and he was killed. Police say there was evidence that he his hands and feet were bound while he was beaten.

Armstrong was sentenced Friday to 30 years in prison. On Monday, Davis was sentenced to 30 years at Maine State Prison, with all but 20 years suspended, and McQuade was sentenced to 25 years, with all but 12 years suspended.
