The State Police say the three people whose bodies were found in two separate homes on Saturday were all family members. The cause of death for the man and his parents, who lived in Boothbay Harbor, has not yet been released.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland said in a press release that State Police have identified the people as 71-year-old Svend Jorgensen, 75-year-old Carol Jorgensen, and their 40-year-old son Eric Jorgensen. The son lived at the home on Montgomery Road, while the parents lived in their home of Lakeside Drive.

Detectives returned to the houses today to gather evidence and are likely to be back on Monday. Autopsies began today in Augusta and will continue on Monday. Investigators continue to work on the circumstances including the causes of death. Police say no one, other than the three victims, was involved.
